The Beacon, Exmouth EX8 2AF, UK – 01395 264886
Enjoyed my time at the Royal Beacon. Only 4 stars because of a couple of minor issues. The staff were friendly, helpful and good humoured. A couple of small house keeping matters arose, but they were dealt with quickly and without fuss. (The fact is they happened at all) The breakfast was substantial with a good range of options. GET THERE EARLY. The breakfast meats seem to hang around and are much nicer at 8.00 than they are at 9.00. The beds were very firm, but comfortable. Overall, great value for money. I would stay there again.
Attended a family get together at the Royal Beacon. The decor and fixings were a little lacking, and the function room we were in seemed bare. However, the food and service were good. We took a double buggy as we had our babies with us. There are steps at the front of the hotel but we were advised there was a lift for guests at the back of the hotel - we found the lift but it couldn't fit the buggy in (the buggy is no wider than a standard wheel chair), to be honest I'd have struggled to fit in it myself and I'm not that much of a fatty. Enjoyed ourselves, but the hotel needs some revamping (I am aware that recent investment means that should be happening soon)

Not stayed here but visited it last week, and can compare it to another Exmouth hotel which might be useful. I've stayed in the same hotel in Exmouth each year for about 8 years. Always the Royal Beacon because my business hosts book it. This year I was there again but had to go to the Imperial. Plus point - The inperial has a nice big car park. Plus point - it's smart clean and modern inside. Plus point - the decking and outdoor area are superb, with views staying into the promenade. Negative point - the bar is not there for an evening of drinking and socialising, it closes early and kicks people out. Neutral point - it's a seaside trippers hotel that caters for the retired traveler. I saw lots of charming couples walking slowly arm in arm. So perfect for retired couples. I would certainly be happy with a room here, but the Beacon is probably a bit more easy going if you want a casual trip and a drink in the evening. Up to you.
Perfect setting to stop for a drink on a sunny afternoon, there's plenty of free tables outside as it never seems to get very busy here. I suspect that is because it's not cheap, two drinks will set you back about £12 but I believe it is justified as it ensures you will always be able to enjoy a quiet drink right on the beach front even on the sunniest of bank holidays.

Go here for beer and burgers, both are very good. The chips, coleslaw, children's menu are all excellent - so long as you like burgers. It's set in a great old pub with a brewery attached, well set out for lots of people to dine, a small efficient bar and friendly staff. More about the food than the bar, so quite European in style. Great place
Excellent craft beer pub with friendly jovial service. Prices fair, clean and excellent selection of their own brews alongside a more premium selection from top UK breweries. Very fun pub quiz.

No nonsense staff, no nonsense food and excellent range of beers and ciders. Keep up the good work team! A year later so glad to return to our favourite pub in Exmouth, but oh dear, on each visit appallingly slow bar service. Please address this Grove Owner!
Good pub for garden and balcony overlooking sea (over road). Rather expensive drinks. Food ..some dishes ok, others rather strange and again quite expensive.

Great pub right on Exmouth beach and next to the marina. Good food served during the day and evening. Live music at the weekends. Good solid craft beers and ales on tap. Outside seating so you can sit in the sun.
Started our evening with a meal here which i have to say was tasty and best part was slimming world friendly. Only suggestion would be another member of staff at the bar as even with the best of intentions the guy was never gonna manage efficiently on his own. Keep up the good work 😎

This is lovely old school B&B. Norma could not be be more helpful and puts her self out for the comfort of her guests. The food is excellent and always fresh and tasty. Puts some Hotel chains to shame. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thanks again Norma we had a wonderful stay.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

What a fantastic B&B! The room was modern & tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. Den and Jules could not have done more to make us feel welcome and breakfast was a proper treat. I can't imagine why anyone would ever want to stay in a hotel if all B&B's were this good! Can't wait to find an excuse to return to that part of the world and to stay there again. A gem of a place.
Wow this place goes above and beyond! Jules and Den are very nice, friendly and accommodating. The room was extremely clean and the comfort was better than some 5* hotels we've stayed in! I would most definitely recommend this b&b to anyone this is comfort, tranquil and relaxation at it best we will return. Thank you

Hopefully you will enjoy the photos attached to this review. Sunnydeck is spacious, warm and welcoming. Very comfortable king size bed, comfy lounge and well equipped kitchen. The location is fabulous for exploring the beach only 5 minutes walk away. The town is two minutes walk. Sunnydeck is so quiet considering its central location, you will never need your car! Well worth a booking.

One of the biggest and best sites we have stopped on. The staff here are spot on and will bend over backwards to help out. So many things to do on this site but the bar on the beach was amazing. Pottery painting, Archery and Segway classes to keep the little ones entertained. On down side to this site is the shooting range next to it. Late evenings you can hear the guns. Not too bad if you are the other end of the park. That being said the park is fantastic. We will be returning one day.
Lovely place. Excellent service from haven.Clean and tidy caravan. Affordable prices and lots of activities for children. I felt one thing was missing is variety of food. Could be better with few new /different sorts of cuisines!! Would strongly recommend.
Littleham Rd, Exmouth EX8 5BT, UK – 07973 567859
Site is very picturesque and is a nice walk down to the beach. Disappointed with the size of the parks the kids can play on and was annoying when it was the hottest day of the year they only had 1 out of 3 of the out door pools open (and it was rammed)
It's really nice here. View is spectacular on evenings and early mornings.

Once again, a fantastic enjoyable stay at the lodge and campsite. Good atmosphere and super helpful staff. Highly recommend this place!
Lovely campsite. Clean and well maintained. Friendly helpful staff. Own "pub" on site which is a converted cow shed
